It's been a while since my last blog entry. I hope you all and your loved ones are well. 

Autumn has truly arrived and Christmas is almost upon us. The last one and a half years have been challenging for most of us. During the first lockdown last year, I was unable to work in my clinic, but I did manage to look after many of my clients by phone, Skype and FaceTime. 

There were many issues with fear and anxiety, and just talking things through and helping with EFT (tapping) and Mindfulness gave the clients the much needed and much appreciated support.

A lady had started fertility treatment with me two months before the first lockdown and just before I had to close my clinic, she had fallen pregnant. We kept in touch all through her pregnancy, and thank goodness all went well and without any problems. So we indeed had a lockdown baby, a boy, last year. 

This Spring, things were a bit easier for me workwise and two more ladies started fertility treatment. They both are well into their pregnancies now - 6 and 7 months. We know for sure that one is a boy. The other one will be a surprise as far as its gender is concerned. So exciting.

A Present From Santa

What a lovely Christmas gift - one of my lovely ladies gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Christmas Eve 2017!

After just a bit over 2 months into her treatment, she fell pregnant. She'd sadly lost a baby during the first trimester before, and a friend, whom I also helped before, recommended me to her. This time, with a little help of acupuncture, her body was strong enough and now she and her husband are the proud parents of a gorgeous little boy.

After having lost our beloved cat Alfie in October, this bit of news did lift my heart.

Baby News

A lovely lady client of mine is expecting her first baby which is due to be welcomed into this world around Christmas.

After a bit more than two months of treatment, sessions once a week, she fell pregnant. The first weeks were crucial, as she had lost babies in the past after 5 to 6 weeks into the pregnancies. Early scans showed that this baby was happy and healthy and was developing well in the womb.
In one of the scans, it was clear to see that the baby was smiling! I'd never seen that before.

Happy News Again

I must say, fertility treatment is one of my favourite therapies. It is amazing to be part of something miraculous, like the creation and growth of new life. A few days ago, one of my lovely lady clients gave birth to adorable twins.

Affordable Fertility Treatment

In about 3 weeks, one of my lovely ladies is going to give birth to twins, after their mum has completed a course of fertility treatment. Another lady has just started working with me.
The treatment typically involves acupuncture, gentle stimulation and massage of reflex points located on the feet and sometimes the support of plant and mineral supplements. Relaxation is a vital part, as well.

The most important question for many is - how much will the treatment cost? Of course, it depends on how long the body needs to be ready to conceive. Most of my lady clients fell pregnant after about 5 to 6 months from the start of the treatment, with one session every 7 to 10 days. Usually, we continue treatment for the first 3 months of pregnancy, some women stay on for longer.
My fee is £55 per treatment session and I offer a 10% reduction for a course of 10 treatments when paid in advance, that means you get 10 treatments and only pay for nine.

It's A Girl ...

A lady in her early 40s came to see me because she was desperate for a second child. After three miscarriages she had almost lost her hope for a baby girl. She booked a course of acupuncture treatment, one hour per week. After two months she fell pregnant. She continued her treatments for another four months, to make sure the body wouldn't reject the foetus again. Now, she is in week 23, carrying a baby girl and very happy!

Acupuncture can help to conceive!

Acupuncture has come more and more into focus for being able to assist couples who are facing problems with conceiving. The number of women who come into my practice for fertility treatment has increased noticeably during the past two years. Some of them chose to have alternative treatment instead of IVF, others "support" IVF with acupuncture. The treatment involves just a few needles in the appropriate acupuncture points, accompanied by a gentle, soothing foot massage. And - it is much cheaper and less intrusive than IVF!
However, it is not always women who benefit from the treatment. Men with a low sperm count or other problems with their "masculinity" can be treated.
