The Benefits of Ginger

In Asia, people have known about the benefits of ginger for centuries. Most of us in this hemisphere nibble a ginger biscuit every now and then or use it in Asian cuisine. Ginger can help with nausea during pregnancy, for example as an infusion or tea (boil 1 teaspoon full of finely cut fresh ginger in water for 3 minutes and strain, add honey if you like). Traditionally, it has also been used for arthritis, rheumatism, indigestion, flatulence, colic, sore throats, fever and muscle sprains (as a poultice).
