Maintain your wellness

Each year we are obliged to take our cars for an MOT; it gets a thorough health check, and if something is wrong, we get it fixed right away before it becomes a real problem.
But when it comes to our own health we seem to be far less disciplined.  We tend only to see a doctor or therapist when we feel something isn’t right, or we have some specific symptom or other. In fact sometimes we can even find ourselves creating a reason to see them, as we feel we cannot waste their time unless we have a very specific symptom.

This can lead to our not seeing someone without first feeling an obligation to have a specific problem beforehand.
Why then do we not give ourselves at least as much attention as we would give to our car by having a regular “Wellbeing MOT” ourselves?

An hour and a half of “me” time can leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed afterwards, without having the pressure to have something “wrong” with you.

Why not book a regular Wellbeing MOT which includes:
-          Gentle Spinal Therapy and Back/Neck/Shoulder massage
-          Foot massage
-          Re-establishing your emotional balance
(using techniques like Psychological Kinesiology, EFT etc)
-          Acupuncture (if required)

You determine how often you want to enjoy 90 minutes of me-time: once a year (Bronze standard), every 6 (Silver) or 3 months (Gold).

The fees are as follows:
Bronze   £60
Silver     £110
Gold      £200

Why Men Appear To Be Deaf While Reading ...

Breakfast time can be daunting for many couples - he is hiding behind his newspaper, she wants to talk. Psychologists at the University in Jena/Germany seem to have found an explanation why men cannot hear their beloved while reading their newspaper: The human brain  processes acoustic stimuli automatically, however, this is not the case when we are distracted. If the additional input exceeds a certain level, the focus on the visual information will block out the social stimulus completely. The brain does not have any capacity left to absorb and process the "excess" information. Therefore, even an angry voice will sounds neutral in that state. The scientists point out, however, this is does not happen exclusively to men. Also women can be affected ... yeah ... right :)

From The Secret Daily Teachings

"People go through their whole lives, chasing everything in the material world, and they fail to discover the greatest treasure of all, which is within them. Shut your eyes to the outside world. Direct your thoughts and words to the inside of you. The Master within you is the key to all the treasures in the world."

Caffeine Can Affect Muscle Function

Clinical trials carried out at the Ioannina University in Greece revealed that the consumption of too many fluids containing caffeine - such as coffee, tea, Coca Cola and energy drinks - can have a negative impact on the function of the muscles in the human body. The reason is that caffeine reduces the level of potassium. This may lead to cramps, paralytic symptoms, exhaustion and even heart problems.
