Glutamate (MSG, Monosodim Glutamate) can cause life-threatening hypersensitivity reactions in asthma sufferers, as reported by lung specialists of the German Lung Foundation e.V.
Asthma sufferers are more in danger of developing the so-called "China Restaurant Syndrome" than healthy individuals. Symptoms can also be: burning or itching skin, headaches, migraines, nausea, tachycardia ("racing heart") and breathing difficulties.
